Numeric Score
Every film that is reviewed on this blog receives a verdict out of 10, along with an appropriate adjective that encompasses the general experience of the movie. The current system looks like this:
Legendary 10
Only a few can receive this highest recommendation. Although not perfect by all means, as the National Film Registry puts it, any movie that earns the Legendary 10 label is "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant". These are classics in the making that are deserving of immortality on the big screen and serve as inspiration for further works in the future.
Must-Watch 9
This rating means that a movie is seriously craveable and deserves attention from the general audience. Whatever the movie does, it is deemed notably impressive, where we can look back at it as a highlight of its time and genre. It is highly recommended to find time to watch these movies, and if you cannot, make sure to write it down on your bucket list.
Super 8
These movies may not be the absolute best of its genre or season, but they still make a lasting impression by presenting us with clever writing, praiseworthy performances, state-of-the-art visuals, captivating soundtrack or some combination thereof. Any major complaints are outweighed by the excellent qualities, and if you have the time, check it out.
Admirable 7
An Admirable 7 movie is worth the attention any time, though on several occasions, there are flashes of "what it could have been". Maybe the film lacks novelty, delivers a predictable screenplay, has an unconvincing cast, or relies too heavily on the visuals, one or the other. Either way, the effort is commendable and this rating is still high enough to appease you.
Agreeable 6
While on the verge of falling down to mediocre quality, the movie saves itself by capitalizing on one element, or two. There is potential in it somewhere, but you will have to brush off some noticeable drawbacks and know where to look in order to acknowledge it. If you ever need to kill time (in a "meaningful" way), this is the bare minimum.
Mediocre 5
The movie is not bad per se, but definitely not good either. Although the drawbacks are more or less on equal footing as its strengths, the movie is forgettable within a mere few hours after watching it. Something as bland as a Mediocre movie is not worth the time or money, unless you are seriously out of other options.
Uninspiring 4
An Uninspiring movie cannot possibly fulfill any of your motives behind watching it in the first place. Even if there is a borderline good idea or two buried somewhere, the overwhelming amount of poor executions does not call for optimism or attention. While a few people may have preferences, the majority will not find even a modicum of appreciation here.
Waste-of-Money 3
You may be tempted to sign out before the movie even reaches halfway. The earlier you do, the better because it will save you from pure regret knowing that you could have made a thousand of better decisions. Any movie from this point and below is just outright infuriating and insulting, which is the absolute antithesis of entertainment.
Hateful 2
If you watch a movie, it means that you are willing to give it a chance. To get a hateful impression out of it in the end is the worst case scenario (for anything in life, in fact). At this point, you did the film an immense favor by giving it attention, and whoever is responsible ought to make amends for the irreparable damages to your visual system.
Travesty 1
Let's hope, for the sake of the existence of movie itself, that no work of art ever comes down to this verdict. An incredibly rare case like this is so egregious that it becomes glorified (e.g. "The Room" or the infamous knockbuster "The Amazing Bulk") that it in itself is a masterpiece.

A "Yes" or "No" answer will be given to whether a movie is rewatchable or not.
What people need to realize is that even a good movie may not necessarily be rewatchable, simply because there are always newer ones coming out by the week and as the old saying goes, time is money. We still want to be somewhat careful with our selections on Netflix and make our time worthwhile. Therefore, this so-called "rewatchability" is held to a higher standard here, which means we are assuming that a normal person does not have the near infinite availability to binge-watch/rewatch as many films as episodes in a series in one sitting.
"Yes" means that a person finds it worthwhile to experience a film more than once, from start to finish. For whatever reason or quality, it holds up on one full viewing after another. It does include watching only particular scenes of it on YouTube. If certain parts of a film particularly resonate with you, it's absolutely rewatchable.
"No" means that a person feels either uninspired or irritated by a film, and would rather pass for the option to watch something else. These are the ones that depreciate significantly in value, and simply can't be enjoyed the same way the first time you watch it.
